For several months, most of the Inspire Labs and SiteCare team have been working remotely. This type of work allows us to save time on commuting, we have more time for the family or for our own affairs, but we have also lost a very valuable opportunity to communicate with each other on a daily basis. There are no more meetings at the coffee machine in the kitchen or going out for dinner.
For this reason, we decided to use the 3 days right after the holidays and went to Giżycko for a sailing integration, to make up for the lost moments for casual conversations between the tasks being carried out. We have a flexible approach to many aspects of our work, and so we did in the case of our trip. We are in the period of an epidemic threat, so the trip is for those willing. We also chose a sailing trip and sleeping on yachts, which is also a much safer form of recreation than, for example, crowded hotels.
We had a quite intense plan for 3 days and we more than implemented it. Courtesy of a friendly charter company, we had the opportunity to test several different yachts. In addition, the steersmen trained us and allowed everyone to take on the role of a helmsman and lead the yachts on their own.
We had the opportunity to try a motor yacht and large Antila 30 and Maxus 33.1 RS sailing yachts. An additional attraction was a night spent in the Zimny Kąt bay and a bonfire with other sailors to the music of shanties.
See how the integration proceeded in the photos below.
